Board of Directors
Our board of directors is made up of individuals and representatives of organisations living, working and operating in the Ross and Cromarty area. The Board oversees the running of the Bureau, ensuring its independence and integrity and providing the targets for us to meet.
Our Board is elected at our AGM but occasionally we co-opt members throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming a member of the board, please contact the Bureau for details.
Our organisation is made up mostly of volunteers, but we do employ paid staff to oversee vital parts of the Bureau’s operation, such as administration. We also employ full-time staff to deal with the more complex issues that some of our clients face, so that we can provide our helpful Projects and give more comprehensive advice and support when we need to. Our paid staff also train and support the volunteers who deliver the bulk of the service.
You can find out about any paid positions available at our bureaux on our Vacancies page.
We have a highly-skilled team of volunteers who carry out the work of the CAB in advising our clients. Each adviser goes through a thorough training process which covers in depth the issues that our clients bring to us everyday. They are also given ongoing training and support from our paid staff and external partner organisations. Volunteers also help in other roles such admin.
Volunteering with the CAB is a greatly rewarding and beneficial experience for people of all ages and all backgrounds who have an interest in helping their fellow citizens. If you are interested, find out more on our Volunteering page.
